Straight from the river to the stage, The Fishcaster is a Tele-style guitar built with a real taxidermied piranha caught in the Amazon River in Peru. The fish is preserved mid-bite, fly and line in its mouth, locked forever in clear resin tinted with blue mica powder to evoke shimmering water.

Embedded alongside the piranha is a vintage English fly fishing rod and antique wooden reel, both weathered and worn with history. These pieces—one from the heart of the Amazon, the other from the banks of an English stream—are suspended together in resin, merging two fishing worlds into one truly playable sculpture.

The body follows a traditional TL silhouette but reinvents it with a mix of transparent resin and a dramatic slab of curly oak. The front shows a seamless blend of wood and water; the back reveals gnarled, cracked oak, the spalting pattern preserved like fossilized driftwood.

The custom-carved headstock mimics the silhouette of a fish tail, a subtle nod to the guitar’s theme. It’s fitted with Gotoh tuners for smooth, reliable performance and paired with chrome hardware that mirrors the glint of sunlight off water.

Electronics are kept minimal and classic—a single Telecaster-style bridge pickup delivers crisp, articulate tone with plenty of snap. The control layout is traditional: chrome knobs, a 3-way switch, and a flat plate for simple, workhorse functionality.
